In this film, I terrebly feel how demons (if they exist) might manipulate humans — how a person’s behavior, body, and voice can change. Imagine not being able to control yourself, while a dark spirit guides your every action. It feels deeply disturbing.
In the scene where John Malkovich is free for a few seconds, it feels very good and relieving. And it is very sad when the multitude takes control of his mind again.
An Unclean Spirit Returns
“When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order.
